CYSTATIN C IMMUNOASSAY

Glomerular Filtration Rate (GFR) represents the best overall index of kidney function. Well-documented studies demonstrate that cystatin C is superior to creatinine as a marker of GFR. Cystatin C responds more quickly to changes in GFR than creatinine, and cystatin C does not have a “blind-area”.
